• Celebrating Egypt’s chairmanship of the African Union
• Workshops and panel discussions on entrepreneurship and the implementing the Youth, peace and security agenda in the Sahel Region.
The first event of the AAYP will be launched tomorrow. The platform will be held for three days (16-18 March 2019) under the auspices if His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The platform agenda tackles a number of topics relevant to the Arab and African region, in light of Egypt’s chairmanship of the African Union in 2019. The activities ranges from discussions panels to workshops to roundtables. The platform will be inaugurated on March 16, 2019 at 6:00 PM with a ceremony to celebrate Egypt’s presidency of the African Union.
The following day will witness the launch of the sessions and the workshops, the opening session titles “WYF Insights”; a panel discussion titled “The future of scientific research and health care” at 11:30 AM; a session titled “The Impact of financial technology and innovation on Africa and the Arab region” at 2:00 PM. Also, a roundtable titled “The Nile Valley: The pathway for Arab African integration” will be held from 1:30 to 3:00 PM.
Three workshops will take place in line with the sessions titled: “How to be a successful entrepreneur,” “Social entrepreneurship from an African perspective,” and “Implementing the youth, peace, and security agenda in the Sahel region” from 2:00-4:00 PM. The closing session will be held from 7:30-9:00 PM.
It is worth mentioning that the administration of the platform allocated the third day as a free day so that the participants can discover the monumental and touristic destinations in the city of Aswan in light of announcing it the capital of the African youth.
