The launch of Egypt’s Chairmanship of the African Union ceremony on the first day of the Arab and African Youth Platform

Today, Saturday March 16, 2019, witnesses the launching of the Arab and African Youth Platform in Aswan, the capital of the African youth, which will last for three days (16-18 March 2019) under the auspices of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The events of the platform witnesses the launch of the Egyptian chairmanship of the African Union. The ceremony aims at highlighting the role of Egypt in the Arab and African region as it is deemed the meeting point of the Arab and African civilizations. The ceremony includes an Arab and African performance in addition to some speeches that will be delivered by African figures discussing the role of Egypt after the chairmanship of the African Union and what Africa aspires in light of Egypt’s chairmanship of the African Union.
