The Beginning

On 25 April 2017, a group of young Egyptians presented an initiative at the National Youth Conference in Ismailia to engage in dialogue with youth around the world. On 24 July 2017, President Abdelfattah El-Sisi officially responded at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina during the National Youth Conference in Alexandria, launching the First World Youth Forum (WYF), which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh in November 2017.

About World Youth Forum

The World Youth Forum was first held in November 2017 where it engaged youth globally in an enriching set-up, allowing them to exchange views and recommend initiatives to decision-makers and influential figures. Since then, it has become a chance for youth to engage with top policymakers, network with promising youth from the region and the world that are determined to make our world a better place for everyone. The World Youth Forum is attended by a wide range of participants, including and not limited to heads of states and government, international young leaders, inspiring youth in various fields, prominent international figures and youth groups from around the world.

WORLD YOUTH FORUM TRACKS

The World Youth Forum opens discussion into three tracks: Peace, Development and Creativity, under which different themes and topics of interest to international youth are discussed, creating a platform to express views, present ideas and share experiences throughout its sessions.

Creativity

Peace

“ The Importance of Social and Economic development are on the top of any nation’s agenda. Various topics address development as it is an area of continuous progress. It is essential to include the aspiration and hopes of the young people in facing and overcoming challenges for a prosperous future “

Development

“we believe in Youth’s role in sustaining peace, therefore we work towards preparing leaders who can sustain peace. We believe in leaders who can make a difference in the world we live in and accordingly in the potential of young people in implementing change and to integrate peace and security in building and sustaining a better world”
